Cute Haloween Costumes!

I have found a myriad of many different Halloween costume idea's via this Facebook page.  I am making this post on January 13th...  So I hope you enjoy this.  Because it has been stewing for a while to be posted.  :)

How adorable is this?  Isn't Where the Wild Things Are the best?  My grandmother got me this little book, about 8" by 8"  from Sunoco.  I treasure that book.  Because it is mine from my grandmother.

How Ingenious!   I wonder what he did with his real arms....

How Clever!  Maybe one day I will do something to this extent.  Who knows?

Hahahaha... He should have just gone as the bread man... Because He is already a ginger.

Road Trip!

Ha.  I wish  I was going on one!

Some of my family is going to Baltimore, then Washington D.C.  Super jealous.  Though not of the road trip part - I kind of have an excellent case of motion sickness.
BUT - If you are planning on going a road trip soon, I read this article on Thought Catalog called, '9 Ways to Guarantee Your Road Trip Won't Suck'.
I hope this makes your road trip a little more enjoyable!

Talking about... The D.

This past weekend I was messaging my drunken best friend Matt.  It was around midnight.  Earlier in the evening we were talking about his ex girlfriend, and how when they broke up I was friends with both of them.  But now My loyalties are only with him, if he wanted to ask anything.  To which He decided to begin asking questions about that at midnight.

Sometimes he is just so poetic. He messages me, 'Does she want my d? That be fun. her sister is hot too.'  and naturally I, in hopes to make this conversation to awkward to go on, refer to 'd' as his dick[which he was obviously insuating] and go on to tell him the sister is jail bait.  And as the conversation keeps going on, and he asks about different people wanting his 'd'  and eventually I get fed up with him refering to his dick as 'd' and ask why he does so, all I got was 'Cuz its quicker.'  That's lame.
But I found that confusing.  And weird.

But with that story having just happened in my life, I found these tweets to be amusing.  I figured a laugh is always appreciated.

Hope you have a wonderful night and a marvelous tomorrow!

Fun Things to do With MatLab

I am terribly sorry for being such a terrible blogger as of late.  Though my coursework shows that it was a good decision in my life. There is still three more tests to come and a quiz in the next week and a half, but I will get this stuff done.  It appears as if it will become easier and easier as time goes on.

Thankfully today has been a very boring day in my classes.  One in particular.
Linear Algebra.
We were 'learning' how to code in MatLab from our professor.  We are concentrating on utilizing the program with matrices.  Of which I often do in one of my other courses.  So I was very familiar with what he was teaching us. The professor is a fun person, we goof around and joke.  He's one of the youngest professors.... He's not a doctor which is quite the anomaly in the engineering department. he told us about this fun thing you can type in the command window.  'why'.  Let me tell you.  It is a lot of fun.  A good answer to the question why.  After this fact, I began to research other fun things to do.  Here is a list of fun things to type into the command window of MatLab!

  • image
  • why
  • spy
  • life
  • penny
  • shower
  • Type on the first line 'load handel' then press enter.
On the second line type 'sound(y,Fs)'
Make sure your speakers are on!!!!  :D  enjoy!!!
  • step
  •  impulse
  • surf(membrane)
  • imagesc(cool)
  • imagesc(hot)
  • logo
  • xpbombs
  • fifteen
Hope you enjoy these fun little tricks!  :)  May it make your class-time more enjoyable!

Saturday Plans!!!

If only I could do this:

When I don't have classes:

Unfortunately I will not be able to succumb to that thought process.  But I can do the following:

When My Roommate texts To Ask If I have gotten out of bed yet:
Except that instead of my roommate, its my friends and my family.  I have a very awesome plans... of sleeping, and drinking,
(both gif's via #whatshouldbetchescallme)

I will be doing my homework,  and just chilling.  and so much work.  and so much pchem to learn and understand and practice.  :(  but that is what a good student does!  Which I am.  So I will!
Hope you have a happy Friday!  :)  May it be filled with fun times and productivity!

Gif's about Alcohol

So, tonight I was pretty lazy because the only thing on my plate that has to be turned in is my homework for reactor design... which is due next Thursday.  So time to turn my brain off and surf the web!  Yay Internet!

Here are some of the amusing things I have found,  and all of these are  thru #whatshouldbetchescallme  on tumblr.

When I spot a full bottle of Jack

When I'm over Monday and ready for the weekend Already.

When Someone asks why I drink so much

When people ask me why I drink so much

When someone tells me I should really cut back on the drinking

When Someone Asks me Just how Much I Drink

 Jose Cuervo

When I get way too drunk at my company holiday party

When My friends are skeptical when I declare I won't pay for a single drink tonight

When I consider trying to cut back on drinking for my new years resolution

When I can't find my flask

Quotes on Facebook

Do you remember when it was so cool to have quotes on facebook?  I do.  And I am trying to clean my page up a bit.  So I decided to remove some quotes because... well.  It's a little crowded.  And simplicity is key.  As you can see by this new layout, which I hope you like.  Please let me know if it hard to read or something isn't functioning properly.

So without Further Ado!
“First they came for the Communists, but I was not a Communist so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Socialists and the Trade Unionists, but I was neither, so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew so I did not speak out. And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me.” -Dietrich Bonhoeffer

That was one I picked.  Basically it just means stand up for others.  It could be you someday who needs stood up for.
“It is the characteristic excellence of the strong man that he can bring momentous issues to the fore and make a decision about them. The weak are always forced to decide between alternatives they have not chosen themselves.” -Dietrich Bonhoeffer
  there  ya go.

“We must learn to regard people less in light of what they do or omit to do, and more in the light of what they suffer.” - Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Sometimes people have the best intentions, but if they are in too much pain they might not be able to do all they say.
“The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.” - Albert Einstein
Think outside the box my friends.  :)
  "Play with Heart"
My Clarinet Teacher would say that.  It means put your whole self into the music.  Don't half ass it.  This can be applied to all aspects of life.
"Only the good die young"  -  Billy Joel
Treasure people while you can, enjoy the moments.  You never know when God is going to chose to take them.

If I Were a *itch...

I would say all the mean things that comes to mind.

My ex posted a status saying how bored he was, and confirming his suspicions that there is thing to do in the suburbs.

Clever me automatically thought, "If you had a girlfriend you wouldn't be bored.  Too bad you decided to break up with her because you were going to be too busy. Oh wait..."

That would be pretty awesome.  Alas.

Additionally he posted how he was' looking forward to starting classes again... what's wrong with me???'

A great answer to that:  what is wrong with you?  Well, you thought it would be ok to break up with your girlfriend by changing your facebook relationship status.  Because that means something is very wrong with you.

And that is my venting for now.   Just thought I would share my *itchy thoughts.

I'm Happy I Met you. :)

There are so many people I have met that have helped shaped me to become the person I am today.  And for that I am grateful.  :)

But I have a surprise... kinda....  Well for some it might be.

But I am no longer single. :)

I am very happy about this.  My Boyfriend is a really nice guy, and I really like him a lot.

Alas, I already have things that annoy me.  But such is life.  He doesn't seem to check his phone, but apparently he is having issues with his network or phone or whatever.  So it's not me.  He isn't ignoring me.  he doesn't think I'm psyco. [yet.]

It just is weird not being able to talk to someone I like so much whenever the notion pops into my head.  Most others get back to me within a few hours, he doesn't.  But that's with the phone issues.

But I really like him, and if his flaw is that he isn't attached to technology, well good for him.  Props.  Though it is very ironic because he is majoring in Electrical Engineering....  haha.  :)

Until next time!

p.s.  SnapChat is so much fun to communicate with your friends!

wait.... What just happened?

Life.

Life is just what happened.  :)

Thankfully it has been a good thing.  which it's always funny how things work out.

I am happy for the most part.

School Sucks.

I am keeping something i want to talk about and analyze.... that I haven't analyzed yet and haven't talked about it a bunch, because I want it to work out.

And I feel that someone pertaining to that something is smart enough to figure how to get to here... And it would be weird for that person to read about it.

I have found this article.  Again from thought catalog.  And It's nice.  And just positive things to keep in mind when figuring out whats what with you and someone else.  :)

How Do You Find the Mole Fraction?!?

Well,  Because I'm an idiot, I cannot remember how to figure out how to do a mole fraction.  Which is what my physics homework was having me do.  For the one book problem we were assigned.  And I cannot remember how to do it properly.  :(

But I know how to guess and check to figure out the percent of Boron10 and Boron11 in naturally occurring Boron. (which is a mixture of the two, by the way.)  So that is how I solved it.  Which means all the math on my paper is useless...  but who cares.  :)  I have it finished!

Well.  Minus the part where I have to figure out if the differentials are exact.  I'm very unsure how to do that and don't want to do a bunch of work for nothing, so I will wait and ask my friend Danielle who is also in the class how she went about doing it.  Then I'll do it correctly!

Additionally:

I know this past Saturday I might have seemed negative, or boo whoo my life sucks-ish,  but that is not what I wanted it to appear as.  It is just what is going on in my life. And I'm ok with my mental issues.  I am pretty good.  I am happy.  Even my therapist says I seemed different, a good different.  Which she agreed it was due to me be happy.

But this weekend and past week were a good reason to be negative.

About a week and a half ago, my Grandma started falling.  She first fell and hit her back against this plastic case on the ground.  and then fell out of bed another night.  Last Tuesday they (my Uncle and Grandma) went to the ER to get her checked out.  The doctors X-rayed her back, and it was fine.  But last Thursday she fell coming out of the bathroom on the change from tile to carpet, and apparently broke her pelvis. She was ok that night, and went to bed,  But in the morning she couldn't get out of bed.  So my uncle called 911 and they took my Grandma in an ambulance to a hospital.  They determined that she broke her pelvis in two places, and finally figured out how to manage her pain meds to give her relief.  Sometime either today or tomorrow, she will be transferred to a Nursing home to be able to sit around and relax and heal.

My dad was supposed to be released from the hospital on Saturday after having being admitted on Tuesday of last week for his very last round of Chemo!  But he ended up getting a high fever,  and convulsing,  called rigor,  where the i sounds like a hard i.  Like I am going to the store. So it was determined thru some blood tests that my dad's port (where they put the drugs in strait to his heart) was infected and the infection has spread thru his whole body.  So they have him on three antibiotics.  It is a good thing they were easily able to determine what the problem was, and of problems to have, this is one they know how to fix.  Additionally, because this was his very last treatment, they are removing his port today to prevent further infections. He should be coming home later this week.  Probably Thursday or Friday,  because they need to finish the IV antibiotics (they will be done Tuesday night) and then I'm betting Wednesday is the last day he'll have a fever, then Thursday he will have as his 24 hour normal control time  making sure nothing else goes wrong.

So there's an update on my life!  :)  I will keep you informed, and thank you for reading!

I have to go program now, because the lab finally opened.  YAY.

(not yay)

32 Days left! Yay!!

So today is Sexual Wednesday.   :D

I realized this yesterday, and went to watch last weeks episode of Jenna Marbles. If you haven't seen it yet, WATCH IT NOW!!!

Silly penis boys.  Not knowing all these things.

But After I watched it, I decided to upload my pics of going to the vet yesterday, where our guinea pigs got their nails clipped.

Well.  My phone doesn't connect to any computers, so I took out the SD card and put it into this card adapter I have. I connected the adapter to the computer, and the computer wouldn't register it at all.

So I took the Card out of the adapter, and there is a built in card reader into my computer,  though I never use it because I had a bad experience with it once. I tried it again last night, and it was difficult.  It would work.  Then I tried to make it fit.  Then it ate my card.  Like literally ate it.  So I took my computer apart today and got it back.  :)  yay!  Now I feel that I can confidently fix something inside of my computer if it goes wrong. I can replace pieces parts.  and take off the keyboard, and all of the pieces on top.  And I can take out and replace the drink holder that is built into the computer.  (the drink holder being the CD player)

So by tomorrow I will have the pictures of the guinea pigs up.  :)  along with some other cool news I have.

Later Gaters!

Babies are so cute!

So I'm sitting here in Panera,  Just sippin my coffee and going thru Pinterest.

And I have been pinning everything onto quotes, or so I have thought.  Turns out I have been pinning a lot of things onto my funny board.  Whoops!

Life goes on.

But I'll be removing the quotes I post on my blog.  Once they are posted on said blog.  :)

So there is an FYI to those who wish to know that.  Get my quotes while you can!  haha.

Why did I choose the title of this blog you ask?

Well that is because across the area, at another table is a couple  who have this cute baby.  and the way he got everything for her as she was feeding the baby.  It was simply adorable.  :)

So short and not full of info.  But that's what I'm feeling right now!

P.S.  I know I blog for me.  But damn,  I have a lot of pages open to different people's quote pages, looking thru all the quotes and repinning what I like.  This seems like a lot of work, but its work I like.  Thankfully.

P.P.S.  I keep getting annoyed at people who have over 100 pins on a board.... and I have close to 300.  I'm clearly a hypocrite.  Oh well.  :)  Life goes on.

P.P.P.S.  So Now I have only ("only")  30 boards left to look at.  As of right now.  Not to say I might not aquire more.  But 30 to go.  The one that has the most is 11k+ pins.  The least has 25.

So. Much. Fun.

Pinterest

So for the past hour, I have been catching up on everything I had not been keeping up with on dear Pinterest  Or as some  (like my mother) like to call it Pin-Interest.

They have so many loverly quotes on it!

Which is mainly what I pin.

Well, along with jokes.

and Halloween costumes

and cute things
and disney princess stuff
and fonts
and food and drinks
and things I want to have in my future home
and Harry Potter pics
and health and beauty stuff
and idea's of what to make postcards look like
and phi sigma rho stuff
and things I have made
and Things I want to do or want to make
and things  I want bought for me
and When I am  'Friggin Rich'  the thing's I'll buy
and rainboots.

So I just have a few things pinned on it.  haha

But I started looking thru because In about a week I will need more quotes for my newer blog I have begun to keep.

Just  a place to keep all the quotes I find.  I always give photo credit, if I find it on the internet within the past 6 months.  I have some saved from forever ago that I didn't have the credit to post where I got them.  :(  But If they ever contact me, I am more than willing to fix that!

Well,  That's it for now.

P.S.  35 Days until my Birthday!!!  YAY YAY YAY.  I can remember when I posted this post and it felt like forever until the big day!  Now its so close and I don't think it could come any sooner!  :D

P.P.S.  I learned how to clean the greasy stove vent today.  :)  just boil it in water with baking soda in it

The Picnic Game

About a month ago I went down to Kings Island. And when you go to an amusment park, there are a lot of lines you have to wait in.  And I hate just waiting there silently.  Which ends up in games being played!

Hannah Introduced me,   well, reintroduced me to the picnic game.  Where you go around and you say I'm going to bring something begining with each letter of the alphabet. The first person says an item with A, the next repeats a, and says b.  Then the third says a, b, then c. So on and so forth.  :)

So we played a game.  And I thought I would share what we are bringing on our Picnic because it is so rediculous.

Key:  Lydia, Hannah, Nick

  • Applesauce
  • Booze
  • Cocaine
  • Drill
  • Elephant
  • Feces
  • Gorilla
  • Hannah
  • Ipicac
  • Juice
  • Kalidiscope
  • Lydia
  • My mom
  • Nail
  • Octopus
  • Penguin
  • Quill
  • Ratatoui
  • Snake
  • Trantula
  • Umbrella
  • Venom
  • Woodpecker
  • Xylophone
  • Ying-Yang
  • Zebra

As you can see, Nick comes up with the most.... interesting items to say the least.

But if you want to come to our picnic, if it ever happens (which on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being very likely,  I would say its -1000000,)  It will basically be like going to the zoo.
:)

Until next time!

Hope you stay warm in this cooler weather! (it's only 65 degrees right now! gah!)

Hurray!

So Finally, after a couple weeks, I finally have my computer up and running!

YAY! :D

And what happened you might ask?
Well, Let me tell you.

My one friend is really into the site 4chan, which is basically like reddit, but don't tell anyone I said that comparison. Apparently, the two of them are like rivals or something.  whatever. But He runs Linux as his OS, so when he restarts his computer, its like starting brand new - it deletes all the malware and spyware and cookies and everything when you restart it.  SO he sent me a link to the science board on it, and i naturally got curious and scrolled thru a few more, and clicked on something where I got some sort of malware onto my computer.  Through this piece of malware, I acquired more viruses.

I eventually removed the malware, and Thought i removed the majority of the viruses.  But symantic kept popping up that it has found these .tmp files.  Which I tried to delete, but couldn't.

So in trying to solve my problems, I downloaded like 4 more antivirus/antimalware programs.   One of them is called Avast!  and it was so annoying.  It kept popping up these notifications and was just a pain in my butt.  So to uninstall it you had to download this .exe file, then proceed to start your computer in safe mode.  My computer of course wouldn't comply, and It took forever to start in safe mode, of which I didn't even start it in safe mode, It was safe mode with networking.  But I was able to uninstall Avast!.  And then i started looking for all the .tmp files Symantic kept finding.  It turns out there were over 64 thousand different files.  All basically no bytes at all.  But in safe mode I was able to delete them all and get rid of them.

So my computer is finally safe and can run properly (so  I think).

And that is the tale of my stupid computer, that I love so much.

Celebrating the America's Independence

At the beginning of this month, 'Murca celebrated its Independence Day!  :)  aka the Fourth of July.

My celebration began even before the month did! haha...

The 30th of June, we had our family party.  Which was very well attended, over 100 people.
There were some fun times to be had, like volleyball.  And some times that were fun to make fun of.  Like my 40+ year old cousin  drinking so much and then vomming.  Which was mildly hilarious, I thought.  But life goes on.  :)

Sunday was a pretty chill day,  Just  hung out and  cleaned up  Then Later in the day, Cassidy and I ended up going to a shopping center that was having a celebration for the Fourth of July where the Cleveland Pops were playing!

While trying to figure out where to sit, we saw a line of people going into this fenced off area with a bunch of chairs inside of it.  we thought it was first come first serve.  After having waited a bit, we finally got to the front of the line... where they asked for our bracelets. Which we didn't have one.   womp.  But they but us off to the side, because there would be plenty of chairs left over after all the bracelet people got in.  Once the front half was full, we were led around and entered to the seating area behind the stage, where we got an awesome behind the stage look at the orchestra.

haha...  But it was cool watching everyone play in the percussion section.  :)

oh!  the reason they were passing out bracelets is because they had a goal along with everyone enjoying the Pop's........  they wanted to break the world record of most people wearing sunglasses at night!   So we got a pair of sunglasses.

During all these songs you can sing along with ( you know those different partiotic ones)  And wore them while we sang.  For 10 minutes.  Ending with God Bless America.  So we wore them the whole time

But During the time they played, they recognized the different people who have served, or are serving, in what I thought was a clever manner.   They had a melody where they played each of the branches song, (Navy - Anchors Aweigh; Air Force - Army Air Corps; Marine - The Marines' Hymn; Coast Guard - Semper Paratus;  Army - The Army Goes Rolling Along) and had the people of each branch stand as their song was played.  Ironically, the guy next to me was in the Air Force, and he had this awesome shirt on.  It said all over the back, Who is John Galt?

I was so stoked.  It was so amazing.

For those of you don't know, its a quote from one of my favorite books, Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand.

But yes, the Orchestra was so amazing to listen to.  I loved listening to them.

Afterwards, when they were shooting off fireworks, it was amazing.  They were literally being shot over our heads.  So all the cardboard packaging rained down upon us, and Cassidy caught a Piece!

This is Cassidy with her piece of Firework she caught!

It was so amazing!  And they had music playing along with the fireworks, so that just made it so much more fun to sing along with.

On The actual fourth of July, I had made cupcakes out of funfetti mix and frosted them.  We brought the two boxes of cupcakes into the hospital and shared them between the 3rd and 4th floor nurses.  They really enjoyed them.  We hung out with my dad there for a long while, then left at like 730 and went home.  My mom stayed and watched fireworks with  my dad and some nurses from an empty hospital room on the other side of the floor.  She had fun.  My brother, Jack, didn't want to go see them in our hometown.  I ended up going and finding Emma who was working a concession booth in the local park where the Fireworks were being held. Employees are not allowed to be in the building while the fireworks were being set off. So it worked out I had brought my blanket with me.  Emma and her co-worker ended up sitting with me and my blanket, finally relaxing after having to work all night with all those firework-watching people.

The fireworks were set off nicely,  it was fun to watch.  Then I ended up going home afterwards.

Overall it was fun times.

:)

[wow, that took me forever to post]

Grad Party Season Begins...

So about a week ago was my first grad parties of the season.   And it was my freshman's grad party [he's all grown up... saddness].  We were chilling outside and just doing our thing, when we saw a toad in the road!  and I found it and picked it up.  :)

As you can see, it was huge!  and everyone thought it was gross.  But I think it was cute.

Hope everyone is having an awesome summer!

To Blog or Knit...

Welp.  I clearly chose to blog for now.  I might write a few posts after this one, but then again....

Instead of doing the Challenge, I am going to blog about today.  Today my friend Daniel came into Cleveland because Michelle Obama was doing a fundraising event.  So we were going to meet after this event at a local coffee place and just catch up.  So i drive down, then right as I am getting off the highway, he texts me and says he won't be able to make it.  I was so mad.  But I was planning on going and walking to this visitor center and look for some things to do in the area and get some postcards of cleveland (once I get a postcard back, I'll explain it. But until then, you can just wait  :)  )     I ended up going and getting a billion pamphlets.  And there were some cute postcards, and i ended up buying 12.

~~~~~~~~~~~knitting / sleeping / have a life break ~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~knitting~~~

After I bought the postcards, I began walking back towards school (also away from down town.)  I ended up stopping for  a peppermint mocha at Starbucks around 12th street.  It was sooo yummy.  I continued walking back to school.  then around 17th street I texted Daniel and said that if you want to meet up i'll be around for about 15 more minutes.  He texted me 10 minutes later saying he was outside the student center!  So I met up with him.  He loved the view of campus. Then he realized he needed to download the pictures from the SD card before he could return it to his friend.  So I helped him by going to the library and figuring out how to check out a card reader, and then emailed him a picture of himself and the first lady.  Which is pretty exciting.  then we left (he isn't comfortable in using revolving doors, so he went out the regular exit.)  Then he realized how late it was getting and wanted to go home.  So we walked towards his car (no thanks to my excellent [horrible] sense of directions.)   He wanted to see the lake, and we ended up stopping at a hotel parking lot with coined meters for each spot.  We went towards this water feature and saw the lake and took some pics by i, and also a pic of daniel by the fountain.  Then he dropped me off outside the parking garage and headed back home.

:)
