Math...

Once again just trolling the facebook and I was on this page and saw this picture.  It would be so awesome to actually do that on a test.

This is so very true for so many problems

Truth.

A little more done with him

To help me with my life and thinking and whatnot, I see a therapist.  And I told her about my relationship with that boy, and the death of my Grandma and how I dealt with that and everything.

When we knew my grandmother was going to die, there ended up being three priests there throughout the day to pray over her.  We knew the Chaplin at the hospital, he is my sister's friend's Dad.  He is also an Orthodox Priest. The main priest from our church came in the middle of the day and prayed over her with the Chaplin, and said some simple prayers.  Later in the evening the auxiliary priest came and gave my grandmother her last rights and also did a service for the departing of the soul.  That was very nice she was able to have all those prayers done for her by the priests.

So that helps establish that I value religion and believe in a higher power.

Now the boy does not have any sort of religion, and I had asked about if he believed in anything.  And he said no.  Then I asked if he believed in a higher power, and he said their could be.  Which I took that he thought there could be one, and he was agnostic.  So I asked him a bit later, asking if he believed in anything and he clarified for me that he truly believed in no higher power.  He doesn't believe there is anything out there. I don't understand how you don't believe in anything.  What does he thinks happen when someone dies?  What if we were together for good?  that wouldn't work out.  What if we had kids/  Would he be supportive/  because I want my kids to have some form of religion.  Preferably mine.  But I don't need to be making my mind up.  It's just something on the back-burner.

I had doubt that he really didn't have absolutely anything.  Last night, around midnight the boy posted this:
"Sometimes I feel like I'll never get my parents to accept that I have no faith in any higher power whatsoever. I don't even want to change their views, but a little acceptance and recognition could go a long way."
So that helped solidify the fact that we would not work out long term.

Oh, I'm Single Again. Volume 2

So in the middle of this post, I went off on a tangent about a few different things I wanted to expand upon but did not wish to do so in that post.

And if you haven't read it yet,  my used-to-be boyfriend broke up with me by changing his relationship status on Facebook.  That is just a terrible way to break up with anyone ever.  Never do it. Ever. Get some courage and break up with someone using your voice.  Preferably face to face. But I understand that for some people that can be too much, so the telephone is another viable option.

So, expanding upon my conversation with Mara.

Well.  First I need to expand upon why I called her after Danielle.

Danielle was a very good friend with trying to get me over him right then and there.  She was telling me to get over him and he’s not worth it.  Stop crying.  So on and So forth.  Which is good.  But not exactly what I wanted at that moment.  I just wanted to be upset about it, which I feel I deserved to be.

So I called Mara because she is good with being upset and such.  Well.  Not good.  I don’t know.  Mara, if you read this I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

So I am calling her at like one in the morning on Friday, because I figured she was either sleeping or out partying, celebrating thirsty Thursday and all.  Luckily for me, she was celebrating Thirsty Thursday!  Or some might call it, drinking.

I call her and ask what she’s doing, because I heard it was really noisy.  And she was just leaving Jimmy Johns, or was going into it.  Something like that.  She asked if I was ok.  And me being me I try saying I’m fine but naturally my voice gives me away.  So she knows something is wrong and asks me what is going on.  And I tell her all about stupid boy.  Drunk Mara is so nice and passionate and I love her. Not that I don’t love sober Mara too.  Haha.  But She was outraged and pissed at him.  And she was offering to come up on Saturday to beat him up.  And She has always not wanted to come up here and visit because it’s a long drive for her.  So I joked with her that she wouldn’t come, it is too far of a drive!  But she said she would actually drive all the way up here to beat him up for me, if I wanted her to.  So that was such a sweet offer from her.

As our conversation was winding down, and because I knew she was drunk, I asked if she would remember in the morning or if I would get to retell her.

You see this was a funny, yet truthful occurrence that had happened in the past.

When the boy and I first became official, I had called Mara.  Unfortunately, she missed my call.  Later in the evening, she called me back and asked why I called.  I got to tell her I officially had a boyfriend and that we were dating!  She was naturally all excited and made squealing noises and was loud and told her roommate what happened. She was also happy for me.  I then went on and told her how it all went down and she was saying how cliché and cute that was.

On the following Sunday, the boy talked about maybe having me go with him to a comedy club to see a comedian doing improv with his Parents.  Naturally I text Mara saying “oh my goodness, guess what exciting scary thing the boy just asked me!!!”  And she guessed that he asked me to be his girlfriend.  I called her up, and she apparently had no recollection of the conversation we had on Friday night.  So I got to go thru her emotions of finding out I was officially not single twice.  That was fun.

This is why I asked if she could remember in the morning.  She said she probably would, but just text me something sad so she wouldn’t forget.  I did text her something saying I’m single again or something.   She texted me a couple times that Friday checking up on me. That was nice.

But back to after I hung up with Mara, I started thinking about what to do.  Monday through Thursday I had been wearing Christmas sweaters to be festive.  I decided not to do that, because it was a bit frumpy and I wanted to feel as good as I can and show him, if I were to see him, that I was fine and good.  Or at least could pretend to be.  He didn’t deserve to see me upset.  As we had our last final that day and most stressful, Danielle and I wanted to go to a bar afterwards.  Originally she had been talking about going to some bars downtown, but change of plans.  There are two local bars close to campus that we often frequent.  There is one where we like the atmosphere better for drinking and hanging out.  Which is also where I knew the boy would be going with his peers to celebrate their final being done.  But we went to that bar anyways because Danielle and I decided we can be civil and drink there.

When we were leaving our class, we decided to take the interlink (a series of closed walkways the connect buildings) as to avoid getting too cold.   But as we got to the floor where the interlink was located, which is also where the boy’s peers and friends had their classes and their organization’s offices are.  One of the boy’s friend, Steve started talking after we had walked by him because he had been facing the wall. And didn’t notice us until we had passed.

“hey Lydia” he called out

“hey steve” I said and continued walking on by.

Danielle has stopped because he started up a conversation.  By that time I was about 30 feet away.  I reluctantly turned around and went back and we talked about finals being over and going drinking.  We finally parted ways and said see ya.

Danielle and I walked over to the bar.  The boy and some of his friends were already at the bar.  They were sitting at a table that is right near the entrance that is very easy to walk by and not notice who is at it.  Danielle and I took a table near a corner and got our drinks.  I couldn’t find my id so I was just drinking soda.  Danielle had… three Christmas ales I think.  She was drunk by the end.  Which is always amusing.  When Steve arrived at the bar, he talked to his friends for a bit, who are also the boy’s friends.  He then came over and apologized to me because that was a, “dick move” as he so elegantly put it. And that he didn’t know until then.  He hung out with us for a bit and gave me a hug.  He then saw his burger coming out and said he had to go, he wanted his food.  Which is completely understandable and we were done talking.

A bit later, the boy’s party became too big and they changed tables to what seemed to be far too close to us. Also to get to the bathroom, you had to walk by his table.  That was annoying when I had to go to the bathroom later.  Which I just walked on by and looked straight ahead.  Danielle also went to the bathroom twice.  I was surprised that when she left the boy didn’t come up and apologize to me.  Or talk to me in some form.  It’s whatever.

When we eventually left, we were planning on stopping by our cars and dropping off our things then proceeding to go to the casino because I had found my ID.  While we were leaving, Steve ran up to us and walked with us to near the parking lot.  Then we went up to the office and hung out with him for a while and just chit-chatted. Danielle updated Steven’s profile picture and his status.  His status mentioned that he was with Danielle and me.  It was just a fun pleasant time.  Eventually we went home and called it a night.

So what is next?

I am hoping to confront him and say what I am thinking so that I feel better and can  get on with my life.  I just need to call him out on it and tell him myself what a terrible move that was.
Not over alcohol is one of the conditions. This is so I can stay calm cool and collected when I tell him.

A Cute Poem

I am still working on my adventures of being single, volume two.  haha.  But In the mean time, I found this poem I found to be so cute via Stumbleupon.  Here is the link to the actual website where it was.

And now here is the poem:

Why We Like Girls

The truth is out there.

They will always smell good even if its just shampoo.
The way their heads always find the right spot on our shoulder.
How cute they look when they sleep.
The ease in which they fit into our arms.
The way they kiss you and all of a sudden everything is right in the world.
How cute they are when they eat.
The way they take hours to get dressed but in the end it makes it all worth while.
Because they are always warm even when its minus 30 out side.
The way they look good no matter what they wear.
The way they fish for compliments even though you both know that you think she's the most
                  beautiful thing on this earth.

How cute they are when they argue.
The way her hand always finds yours.
The way they smile.
The way you feel when you see their name on the call display after you just had a big fight.
The way she says "lets not fight anymore" even though you know that an hour later....
The way they kiss when you do something nice for them.
The way they kiss you when you say "I love you".
Actually... just the way they kiss you....
The way they fall into your arms when they cry.
Then the way they apologize for crying over something that silly.
The way they hit you and expect it to hurt.
Then the way apologize when it does hurt ..(even though we don't admit it!).
The way they say "I miss you".
The way you miss them.

The way their tears make you want to change the world so that it doesn't hurt her
anymore.....Yet regardless if you love them, hate them, wish they would die or know that
you would die without them... it matters not. Because once in your life, whatever they
were to the world they become everything to you. When you look them in the eyes,
traveling to the depths of their souls and you say a million things without trace of a
sound, you know that your own life is inevitable consumed within the rhythmic beatings
of her very heart. We love them for a million reasons, No paper would do it justice. It is a
thing not of the mind but of the heart. A feeling. Only felt.

I like this font I used above....  And I do not know how to get it so that it didn't double space.  :(  I am sorry about that.
